Overview of the IQTS Program

IQTS-1

The International Qualified Teacher Status (iQTS) program at UWE Bristol is an online teaching qualification.

This course targets current teachers seeking Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and aims to enhance their teaching skills. Participants usually have at least two years of teaching experience and get support from their school.

Students must also show a solid grasp of teaching and learning pedagogy to meet the Teachers’ Standards (DfE 2011).

Participants will engage in practical assignments and receive feedback from experienced educators. This hands-on approach ensures they can effectively implement what they learn. By the end of the course, teachers will be well-prepared to meet the standards required for QTS and enhance their teaching practice.
